Cary Family Eye Care is a family-owned, independent eye care practice located in West Cary, NC. We are not a chain- we have been part of the local community in Cary since 2008. The office is owned by husband and wife optometrists Dr. Dwight Barnes and Dr. Kelly Barnes.

Our knowledgeable and friendly optical staff will work with you to make sure you “look great and see great”. Through the “I Care & Share” Program, for every pair of glasses we sell, we donate a pair to someone in need.
Our Myopia Control Clinic is dedicated to fighting the increasing prevalence of myopia, or nearsightedness, especially among young children. Most parents are not aware that there are options available to slow or stop the worsening of childhood myopia. Through Overnight Sight we’ve managed to provide clear vision without glasses or daytime contacts to hundreds of our young patients, while at the same time stabilizing their vision. Dr. Dwight and Dr. Kelly are wonderful Doctors. Very thorough and friendly. After seeing Dr. Dwight I learned so much about the health of my eyes and how important it is to take care of them, with minor tweaks in my everyday living, as small as wearing polarized/ UV protection sunglasses to help protect my eyes from harmful blue rays. The optical floor had so many Amazing choices of frames to choose from I couldn’t leave with just one. The optical team help maximize my insurance and offered amazing deals to help get me the frames and lenses I needed to keep my eyes healthy and vision in tack. I’d recommend Cary Family Eye Care to any and EVERYONE. They are a wonderful go to practice that can assist with all your vision and eye health needs. They deserve beyond 5 stars if you ask me!
